In Washington, alongside President Zelensky and with our partners, we reaffirmed to President Trump our determination to continue uniting our efforts for a solid and lasting peace — one that safeguards Ukraine’s interests and Europe’s security. Such peace will necessarily require granting Ukraine robust security guarantees, on which we have decided to work in very concrete terms with the United States. It is also clear to us that pressure on Russia must continue for as long as this peace has not been established.
