Immense victory for the planet! A year ago, we were 8 countries in favor of the BBNJ High Seas Treaty. We are now 60: the Treaty is ratified! Translation: the international community commits to protecting the oceans. We achieved this thanks to the exceptional collective mobilisation at the United Nations Ocean Conference in Nice, UNOC3. Congratulations to the French negotiators and thank you to all those of good will. We’re getting there, we keep going!
